UA Local 67 Privacy Policy

United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada Local 67 (UA Local 67) recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of all information provided by users of our web site and email senders and recipients. We have created this policy to be respectful of our users' right to privacy and to guide our relationships with our users.

We collect and maintain non-public personal information in order to:

  • Inform you of service availability;
  • Inform you of industry trends and news;
  • To facilitate normal business transactions.

We do not automatically gather any personal information from you unless you supply it voluntarily, usually through contacting us via e-mail or through out Contact Us form.

We do not offer, or allow the selling of, any user-provided information to third parties.

Information is shared with affiliated sister companies and with non-affiliated third parties only when those parties are acting on our behalf, or as required or permitted by law. These companies are legally obligated to maintain the confidentiality of the information we provide to them, and are restricted from using this information for any reason other than what is specified in the agreement.

We offer our users the option to receive information about the UA Local 67, related information and services, newsletters and emails. Users can choose not to receive these communications at any time by informing UA Local 67.

For our internal purposes, we gather date, time, browser type, navigation history and IP addresses of all visitors to our site. This information does not contain anything that can identify users personally. We use this information for our internal security audit log, trend analysis and system administration, and to gather broad demographic information about our user base for aggregate use.

UA Local 67 Social Media Policy and Terms of Use

This document contains the policy to be posted publicly on the UA Local 67 member website and each social media website.  All UA Local 67-owned social media accounts should link directly to this policy to lay out expectations for members.

The United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of Canada Local 67, or “UA Local 67” as it is commonly known, is a multi-craft union whose members are engaged in the fabrication, installation and servicing of piping systems.

This policy applies to UA Local 67 and is intended to explain how UA Local 67 uses social media in support of its mandate and communication needs.  It also outlines UA Local 67’s approach to participating in social media. UA Local 67 uses social media to help inform its membership and the public about its activities, programs and services. UA Local 67 will do its best to respond to social media posts mentioning or addressing UA Local 67.

This social media policy is designed to allow all users to share their opinions and ideas. Disagreements and constructive arguments are part of the discussion, however, abusive, intolerant or insulting comments will not be tolerated and will be removed by UA Local 67. By choosing to submit a comment to one of the UA Local 67’s online websites or social media websites, you are indicating that you accept our terms of use.

Accordingly, we reserve the right to remove comments that are:

  • racist, hateful, sexist, homophobic, slanderous;
  • insulting or involve questionable conduct in regards to a person;
  • aggressive, rude, coarse, violent, obscene, profane or pornographic in nature;
  • offensive or abusive to an individual or organization;
  • used for advertising or promotional purposes;
  • repetitive or spamming threads;
  • not directly related to the discussion thread.

As a final matter, members and other users should be aware that the names, logos, websites and other publications of the UA Local 67 constitute the intellectual property of the UA Local 67.  UA Local 67 reserve the right to take action to the extent allowable by law to combat the unauthorized use of its intellectual property, including representations or suggestions by an individual that the individual’s views are, or reflect, the views of the UA Local 67, or that an individual’s online or social media website is sanctioned or affiliated in some way with UA Local 67. Violations of this paragraph can be prevented by requesting the authorization of UA Local 67 before using its intellectual property and by making clear in discussions and on personal websites relating to UA Local 67 that you are sharing your personal views and are not speaking on behalf of the UA Local 67.
