The United Association represents world class piping professionals that deliver productivity and safety to the construction industry.

The Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee is a partnership between UA Local 67 and the Mechanical Contractors Association Hamilton Niagara.

The JATC is an approved Training Delivery Agent with the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development delivering Apprenticeship Training in 456A Red Seal Welder programs.

The Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee provides training programs for Apprentices, Journeypersons and Metal Trades who are members of UA Local 67.

Ministry of Labour E-Learning for Worker Health and Safety at Work

The Ministry of Labour E-Learning for Worker Health and Safety at Work is a requirement that takes effect July 1, 2014. Upon successful completion of the E-Learning, the trainee will be able to produce/print a "Proof of Completion" certificate. More information can be found on the Ministry of Labour's Website

Work Ready Training Program

All members who are dispatched will be required to present the following certifications:

Working at Heights Certification

  • Working at Heights is delivered in a classroom covering theory and practical requirements. This certificate is valid for 3 years.
  • There is no charge to members for this course.
  • List of upcoming classes.

WHMIS Certification

  • This is an online course that will take approximately 45 minutes to complete. Contact the JATC at 905-385-0043 to receive the instructions and log in information.

Worker Safety Awareness Training Certification

  • This is an online course that will take approximately 45 minutes to complete.

  • Once you have completed this training, please provide our office with a copy of your certificate so that we can update your training records.

For those members who have already acquired this training through employment please provide the JATC with copies of your certifications so that we can update our training records to reflect your work readiness.

The Adult Basic Education Association (ABEA)

They’ll provide learning strategies to help you succeed in training and employment. ABEA is the adult learning network in Hamilton. All services are free and confidential.
